Place stamp on leather and hold steady
Hit the embossing tool with a mallet in a perpendicular fashion and try to hit once only, to ensure a crisp and clear effect.
To save your leather tools, use a wooden or nylon mallet

(Refrain from hitting more than once in the same spot. The stamp tool might have moved after the first shot, and will then create an overlap and blurred effect)
